119 People Arrested From Kharagpur For Breaking The Lockdown

The statewide complete lockout had wide impact in Kharagpur city and adjoining areas. Shops and markets remained closed, aside from important services such as medicines, all were closed, regardless of how many people left from here to disrupt the lockout. A police motion was taken against such people and 119 people were arrested in a single day. Kharagpur Mahanagar police station in-charge Raja Mukherjee said that out of 61 people were arrested under preventive conditions and 31 people were arrested under special circumstances, by 9 am, a whole of 30 people were arrested for breaking the lockdown. An arrest was made. While a whole number of 26 people of Kharagpur Rural Police Station were held responsible for breaking the lockdown, due to which they were arrested.
